Hi! I don't know if you still read this, but I want to thank you for all the patterns for vegetables and fruits. I had a job for a friend who wanted crochet veggies, so I searched around, and you definitely had the best versions...realistic, but so easy! You rock!!! I hope you are still at it.
ReplyDeleteI would like to second that. I love your fruits/vegetables! And I really appreciate that you post the pattern for free. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, Granddaughter will be delighted !
ReplyDeleteThe R13 increase line on the rind calls for SC 13, then 2 SC in the next stitch, repeated twice, but lists 45 stitches; that looks like it should be three repeats to close out the 42-stitch round. The cream-to-hot-pink switch in the flesh rounds is a neat way to suggest the grapefruit’s membrane without adding separate pieces. I’m on the team behind PhotoMerge.app.
ReplyDeleteThe rind instructions jump straight from R5 to R7, so the round that carries 30 stitches up to 36 is quietly missing from the numbering even though the stitch counts still line up. Putting magnets in the materials list with the note that they have to be strong enough to hold through yarn is a practical touch for a piece worked as two separate halves.
